Wordless saturday

This is Mercedes ( almost five years old )

Mercedes will be five years old soon , she is preety exciting about her bday and can't hardly wait for this day .
Mercedes's personality:
she is a smart, sweet and gentle little girl .  She has sense of humor , she likes to laugh at funny things.
She is neat, clean and orderly !  Her bedroom needs to be perfecly in orden and she needs to knows what she has and where is it ?
Mercedes is very social but also, she is carfull specially outisde the house and with strangers , it could be in the mall , supermarket or the park she wont talk to you if she does not know you . We considere it as a safety thing.

Food :
She loves fruits and vegetables just like her sister Sabina . She also like soup and pasta ! She does not refuses to eat meat but it is not her favorite thing , I believe this is from Robert's part . She likes salmon and shrimps .
Mercedes takes lots of time to finish her meal, but the more important thing for us is how much and how good she eats so the time is not a big deal. She know that ,and tries to eat faster  so she can stand up from the table .

School:
She loves going to her school everyday , she has some good friends , and loves her teacher !
Mercedes is very determined in what she does , with her homework .

Sleep:
Mercedes sleep very good at night , in bed she likes to talk about how was her day and remember the good things she had , she can not forget to pray and say Thanks for all the good thing she has . Mercedes wakes up sometimes at night becuase she wants  water, milk or a hug !


Dreams or imagination:

Mercedes really wants a puppy as a pet , we keep telling her she will have it when she is bigger and if she promise to taking care of it . At this point she would like to be a Dr. veterinarian   when she grow up ! We know her dreams might change but she wont forget they way we made her feel . And this is one of her favorite games to play as well . She loves to be the dr. and Sabina & me , we bring all the animals we find in the house , those are the greatest moments we spend together .

As I said , she has a big imagination so asked me if I could help her to "build " a coffe shop for her , I had no idea how to make that with boxes but together we did it and it is amazing to see how much time she has been playing with it , a free toy that she invented .

Behavior:
She would do anything we ask her if we if we ask it polite as she said . She defends her rights and fight for them if she has to , she is very mature and very often surprise us with the things she say .
I remember Sabina was mad a few days ago and pinched  Mercedes in the hand so Mercedes put Sabina in front on her and Told her :" Sabina you are allowed to be mad , and  to be mad is totally OK , but  becuase that you are not allowed to pinch me or nobody ."

Mercedes let us to know her feelings , when she is upset, happy , tired or sad .  She comes to me usually and talk about the way she is feeling .
She likes physical affection ( for example she likes to hug , she likes to be held).  She is physically active as well, she enjoy playing sports, runnung , swimming , gymnastics etc.

More of fall ...

I enjoy going out with my girls and family as much as we can . We went to this corn maze in summer and again in fall, everything was the same  except the photos, everything now is brown becuase winter is around the corner .

This is Sabina ( three years old)

A little princess with  a strong personalitty ...

Personality :

 She has an interesting personality . Sabina is little and cute and demands attention where ever she is .The minute someone pays attention on her she plays it up big time. She is very mature in lots of way but  sometimes she loves to be  completelly babied.

She loves to dress up and feel preety for herself . She is very controlling and bossy little girl !

food: 
Sabina likes pasta , fruits and vegetables . She refuses to eat meat or chicken , except those " chicken nugget"
She would spit anything out she did not want to eat. We are changing the rules about nutrition at our house , hopefully she can get better  and better with time . 
There are some days when she does not wanted to eat at all and she cries becuase wants cookies and desert but as she did not eat very good ( healthy food) she is not allowed to have junk snacks .

sleep :
She likes to sleep alone in her bed , she slept  in her bedroom since she was 3 months old and through the night so,  we were very lucky .  She has her favorite blanket and she does not like to feel nobody sleeping  beside her . she is very good sleeper.

Behavior:
 She would scream many times if she did not get her way, if we tell her she has to do something she does not wants to do . Sometimes even make me feel like the worst mother ever but then I think I am not the worth mother ever, That I am not going to allow to dictate over  this family . We just started a zero tolerance policy with her. There is not warnings  only obedience . Screaming over every little thing is now unacceptable and will not be tolerated. If it means the rest of the family gets to go out and have fun and she has to stay home (with me of course) then so be it.

I am sure in her head she thinks her life is the roughest and that she is the only one who is punished in those ways .

Favorite games:

She loves to play tea party as well, and she could spend with me or with Robert the whole day playing tea party, pretending grocery shopping , cooking and having picnic. She also likes to play with babies , hiding and seek .

Photography workshop

Five months pregnant , it was my workshop this week ! I had a few minutes to capture those belly shots !

Workshop are great way to learn and improve , in fact in some workshop I always learn more and retain better with hands in training . I love natural light as I dont have as I dont have to think and change the white balance in my camara . Those shots were indoors .

Monday snapshot { Nicole is seventeen}

Nicole just turned 17, She has been a  sweet  girl  , smart , beautiful ,  very mature for her age and a good big sister for Mercedes and Sabina.

I only can tell you Nicole '' Tell what you feel, do as you think, and if what you were awaiting does not come do not resign yourself never stop , But above all things never forget about God"

and remember , " what is more important are the  feelings and what you can not buy ". Do not limit yourseld  by what they say , be what you want but be only you "

Loving a teddy bear!

Mercedes is almost five years old , she has many toys she likes to play with but her favorite one is this brown little teddy .

She said :" I have good friends at the school but my teddy is my best friend , it plays with me when I want , it sleep with me in the night . I love it ."

Sabina got this teddy bear for her bday and she knew how much Mercedes would like it so she gave it to her , it was very nice of Sabina .

Mercedes lost a brow teddy , she left it at Banff a few months ago , it was her favorite by that time , she was really sad about it  , she wanted to go back to the restaurant to get it or to buy the same one so we told her , She needs to take better care of her things and "maybe " she could have another one for her bday or X-mass so she is taking care  of this one very well.

I love when I take a photo and it has something special to talk about or to remember . Beside that her favorite toy is the teddy , we will remember her playing with the leaves in the fall.

Mercedes: I wonder what a mosquito tongue looks like ?

Mercedes: I think all the kids should learn how to hate Mcdonalds .

Mercedes's friend : I can't convince my mom to buy me the toy I want .

Mercedes :If you can't convince her then confuse her .

Robert  : Doctors make more money than teachers .
Mercedes replied : I want to be a doctor then .

Mercedes : My favority season is winter .

Sabina : Today I am going to drive the car , Mercedes will sit beside me and mami will sit in the back .

Me ( To Sabina laying on the floor) Are you bored ?

Sabina : No, I am sabina .

Sabina : what should we have for dinner , chocolate or ice cream?
